Scope of Services
The Pink Lactation Consultant provides in‑home and virtual lactation support for families in the Triangle area. Services include feeding assessments, latch support, pumping guidance, and individualized care plans.
Insurance & Billing
The Pink Lactation Consultant is an affiliated provider with Wildflower Health (Cigna) and The Lactation Network (TLN). Eligible visits are billed directly through these partners at no out‑of‑pocket cost to the client. Clients are responsible for completing the appropriate insurance eligibility check before scheduling.
If a service is not covered by insurance, clients will be notified in advance. No charges will be added without prior consent.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Life with a new baby is unpredictable. There are no cancellation fees or rescheduling fees. Clients are encouraged to notify the provider as soon as possible if an appointment needs to be changed.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate health and feeding information.
Be present and available during scheduled visits.
Maintain a safe environment for in‑home consultations.
Provider Responsibilities
The Pink Lactation Consultant is committed to providing evidence‑based, compassionate lactation care. The provider will:
Maintain professional certification and continuing education.
Protect client privacy and health information.
Offer individualized feeding guidance and referrals when needed.
Privacy & Confidentiality
All client information is kept confidential and handled in alignment with HIPAA standards. Digital communication is encrypted whenever possible. For more details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
Limitations of Care
Lactation consultants do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medications. If concerns arise outside the scope of lactation care, clients will be referred to the appropriate healthcare provider.
